WE ARE ON A MISSION TO SPREAD
GLOBAL AWARENESS ABOUT CHILDHOOD CANCER
Research + Funding = CURES
Parents should not hear your child has cancer and there is nothing we can do!
Our kids should not be taking 30 year old drugs that were created for adults.
At least 80% of survivors deal with chronic medical issues once the treatment is completed -
there is a grave NEED for less toxic therapies for our brave, innocent children.
Pediatric Cancer is heavily underfunded
There was a $5.2 billion budget in 2016 and
less than 4%
of that was dedicated childhood cancer.
"The hardest part about being a parent is helplessly watching your child go through this
and NOT be able to fix it or take it away".
Here is an article from Forbes entitled
"The Financial Impact of Childhood Cancer on Families"
At least 50% of families lose an income or go bankrupt when a child is diagnosed.
King's dad has a bachelor's degree in Nursing so he stays home with King and his brother Mesiah and sister Faith.
Childcare is too expensive for three children so the salary that dad would work for to pay for babysitting is sacrificed to make sure that King is taken care of to the max.
We can't put an amount on having a personal nurse to care for King 24/7.
Hence, all of the
burden is placed on King's mom.
Cancer not only affects the patient but the entire family.
Emotionally, mentally, physically, professionally and financially.
King is over $80,000 in medical collections debt.
Mom and dad have maxed out their credit cards and depleted their savings in an
effort to prevent this but could not have foreseen the medical debt of this magnitude.
We have spent months in the hospital including birthdays and holidays.
Our mission is to spread global awareness about cancer
in hopes that
research is done to
declare cancer a thing of the past.
